What is Maskne? | How to prevent Maskne?
#Facemasks are now an integral part of our lives. However it is important to wear a mask to stay safe against COVID-19, this may cause skin problems specially #acne. This type of acne is being referred to as “mask acne” or “maskne”.
There are a few ways to prevent #maskne that one can follow:
1. Keep the face clean: #Dirt and #oil on the skin will get trapped under the mask and can cause #breakouts. Always wear the mask on a clean face. Avoid wearing makeup under it.
2. Balance skin's PH level: A good pH balance helps prevent #excessoil and #pores enlargement .
3. Scrub to remove #deadskincells: Regular and gentle exfoliation is the key to remove dead skin cells which may cause acne breakouts
4. Add #vitaminC in the #skincare #routine: Vitamin C is a water-soluble #vitamin that acts as a potent #antioxidant to protect the skin and other cells from free #radical damage.
5. Hydrate the skin: #Dryskin can trigger excess #oilproduction, which could contribute to acne.
