"River Cave" by Amanda Handel, was inspired by the underground water courses and cave formations at Jenolan Caves (west of Sydney).
The performance opens with a short improvisation before settling down on a regular groove, scored in an irregular time signature. The work was recorded by Amanda Handel and Michael Jackson on a CD of original works for piano, didjeridu and didjeribone titled "Gardens of Stone". The album was recorded in Studios 301 Sydney in 2012, and produced by Llew Kiek.
