Steam Locomotives 3526 & 3801 - Southern Highlander Tour, 1st April 2023
Across the weekend of 1st/2nd April 2023, Transport Heritage NSW and the NSW Rail Museum ran their Southern Highlander tour from Sydney to Moss Vale. From Central Station to Picton, the train was hauled by Diesel Locomotives 4916 and 4501, and Steam Locomotives 3526 and 3801 took over at Picton for the remainder of the journey to Moss Vale.
We saw the tour on Saturday 1st April. We captured footage of the two Steam Loco's arriving into Moss Vale, and then do some shunting to prepare for the return journey. We filmed the train departing Moss Vale for Picton at 2:30pm.
