Dying Light Gets NEW Game Plus and AMAZING New Weapons
Dying Light: The Beast – Update 1.4 is finally here and it’s HUGE. In this video I break down the latest Patch 1.4 (around 9GB on PC) including New Game+, Legend Levels, ray tracing on PC, and my honest gameplay impressions on Brutal difficulty + New Game+.
I’ll show you how to enable ray tracing (Ultra preset on PC), how New Game+ works, why the Legend Level 300 grind is actually worth it, and how enemy AI and difficulty scale up in this new patch. We’ll also talk about the Week 7 Call of the Beast community challenge, the state of the roadmap, and what this means for a future Nightmare difficulty mode.
🎮 My experience with Patch 1.4:
Set everything to Ultra to enable ray tracing
Immediate visual upgrade: sharper image, better lighting, deeper shadows
Castor feels more immersive and truly next-gen
New Game+ + Brutal difficulty = 6–7 hits per zombie, way more aggressive AI
Enemies surround, grab and rush you – the challenge ramps up fast
Legend Levels and new legendary weapons make the grind actually fun
🔥 What’s new in Update 1.4 (highlights):
New Game+ – replay the story with all your gear, skills, XP and weapons carried over, but with tougher enemies and better loot
Legend Levels (up to 300) – extended endgame progression with passive upgrades, higher health, stronger Beast Mode and better combat stats
22 new rewards – legendary weapons (melee & firearms), 2 full outfits (12 gear pieces) and new legendary vehicle skins
Ray tracing on PC – improved lighting, shadows and reflections for a more realistic, next-gen look
Hundreds of fixes – parkour/navigation improvements, visual and stability fixes, better early-game balance and XP tweaks
