How to Remove Noise From Vocals and Recordings - Edison Method

Today I show you how to remove unwanted noise and hiss from audio in FL Studio Trial version using the Edison. This will help clean up the audio and make it sound more professional.

Noise from fans, computers and air conditioning can be a real distraction in vocal/ instrument recordings. This simple method will help you eliminate that unwanted noise and leave your recordings clean and clear.

We always recommend eliminating the noise at the source and will make a video showing how we get clean recordings

This technique needs to be used with care, as it can be overdone leaving an unnatural result. Sometimes it's okay to have some noise and it can actually enhance a song.

I have used a very noise vocal recording as a demonstration :)

►All you need to do is follow the steps in the video and listed here:

1 - Load the sample into the Edison
2 - Select a part of the recording that has the noise on its own (If you don't have a section with only noise, you can always record your room noise and use that)
3 - Right-click the toothbrush icon in the toolbar to acquire this noise profile.
4 - Select the audio you wish to remove the noise from and left-click the same button.
5 - Adjust the 'Amount' slider. Left = More noise - Right = Less noise.
6 - When you are happy you can apply the effect then drag that audio back into the playlist by pressing Shift + C.
