Opel Astra G. Replacing the crankshaft sensor
The crankshaft sensor blew. I bought a new one and immediately replaced it. I parked the front wheels on ramps so I could get under the car and set the handbrake. I disconnected the negative battery terminal, unscrewed the clamps, and removed the air intake hose. I disconnected the sensor connector. I crawled under the car, unscrewed the sensor, and pulled it out. I connected the new sensor connector to the top, then installed it and tightened it. I reinstalled the air intake hose, tightened the clamps, and connected the terminal to the battery. Everything is ready to start.
