The Paired T-Test is used as a comparative or difference test when the data scale of both variables is quantitative (interval or ratio). This test is also known as the paired t-test. In this article, we will explain how to conduct a paired t-test using SPSS. We will compare the difference in the mean or average of two paired groups. Paired means the data comes from the same subject.
The Paired T-Test is part of parametric analysis, so the first thing to consider is that the data must be normally distributed. Of course, to determine whether the data used is normally distributed or not, a normality test must first be performed. If the normality test is not met, an alternative can be used, the Wilcoxon test, which is a non-parametric statistical analysis.
