Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is an upcoming action-adventure game developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man, it features a narrative inspired by the long-running comic book mythology while also deriving from various adaptations in other media. It is the third entry in the Marvel's Spider-Man series, acting as a sequel to Marvel's Spider-Man (2018) and Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales (2020), with Peter Parker and Miles Morales as a duo coming into conflict with Kraven the Hunter, while also encountering the symbiote Venom, which bonds itself to Peter.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is scheduled to release for the PlayStation 5 on October 20, 2023.
As with previous installments in the series, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 features a large ensemble cast of various characters that are derived from the history of Spider-Man comics and other media. Yuri Lowenthal and Nadji Jeter reprise their respective roles as Peter Parker / Spider-Man and Miles Morales / Spider-Man from Spider-Man (2018) and Spider-Man: Miles Morales (2020), with Griffin Puatu also returning as Ganke Lee from Miles Morales. Tony Todd provides the voice and motion capture for Venom, an extraterrestrial symbiote capable of bonding to human bodies as hosts. Jim Pirri voices and motion captures the character Sergei Kravinoff / Kraven the Hunter, the leader of a private faction of mercenaries called the "Hunters". Curt Connors / Lizard will feature as an antagonist after having previously made a brief appearance in the mid-credits scene of Miles Morales.[8] The characters Harry Osborn, Felicia Hardy / Black Cat, Yuri Watanabe / Wraith, Lonnie Lincoln / Tombstone, Tony Masters / Taskmaster and Aaron Davis / Prowler are also set to appear, returning from Spider-Man and Miles Morales.
The game expands the prior entries' New York City overworld, with Queens and Brooklyn both being accessible boroughs during the main story campaign and while free-roaming in the game's open-world sandbox.
