Have you spotted the new repost button on Instagram?

Sharing just got a whole lot simpler. You can now repost Reels, feed posts, and carousels straight to your own profile, and Instagram even gives them their own little home.

Here’s how to use it:

Step 1: Check your app
If you don’t see the features I’m about to show you, you might need to update your app or wait until Instagram rolls it out in your corner of the world.

Step 2: Find the repost button
While you’re scrolling your feed, look for a button with two arrows in a circle. It is just to the left of the paper airplane icon.

Step 3: Tap to repost
When you see something you want to share with your audience, tap that button. Instagram will share the exact Reel, post, or carousel to your followers.

Step 4: Add context
You will see a little thought bubble pop up. This is where you can type your own note. I recommend adding something so your audience understands why this account that they may not follow is showing up in their feed.

Step 5: Save and done
Hit save, and you are finished. Accidentally reposted? Just tap the button again to remove it.

Where to find your reposts
Head over to your profile. At the top, you will see three or four tabs. First is your feed. Second is Reels. Third is where your reposts live.

Why reposting matters
It boosts your reach without creating something from scratch.
It gives creators free distribution.
It keeps curated content organized.
It adds your personal touch instead of feeling random.

A couple of things to avoid

Sharing without watching or reading fully
Do not post just because the first five seconds look good. The ending might be off-message or not something you want to align with your brand.

Over-reposting
If half your feed is other people’s content, your followers might forget why they followed you in the first place.

Alright ladies, that is it. The next time you see something worth sharing, do not just DM it to a friend. Repost it, add your take, and let your audience in on the love.
