In this devlog I showcase the latest progress on my indie game made in Godot 4.

I’ve been focusing heavily on improving the core feel of the game: smoother character movement, a combo-based combat system, better animations, swimming and water physics, enemy staggering and blocking, and the first playable level from start to finish. I also introduce a second playable character that will be available in local co-op.

I walk through how some of these systems are built in a modular, component-based way, and why the game is starting to feel more fun and responsive with each update.

If you’re into indie game development, Godot devlogs, pixel art games, or beat ’em up style combat, I hope you’ll enjoy this one.
