Inter Board Committee of Chairman (IBCC) and Higher Education Department (HED) has prepared a model of conducting matriculation and intermediate board examination for 2021 session. The meeting of IBCC steering committee was held in Islamabad on the directives of educational minister Shafqat Mahmood. It has been decided that the matriculation and intermediate examinations next year will be held in June instead of May so that the students get ample time to get accustomed to the curriculum. Examinations have been divided into two phases; 10th and 12th class examinations will be held in the first phase, while 9th and 11th class students will appear in the second phase. The committee has also decided that the duration of each examination will be one and half hour and all questions will be MCQs (multiple choice questions). The committee also decided against taking practical examinations, instead the Practical examination marks will be integrated with the written exams.
