HISTORY WITHOUT A HAPPY ENDING or HEAVENLY NEHEMIAH. Neh.13 // Sermon
I teach the exegesis of Nehemiah at a Bible school, and one of my lessons is devoted to preaching about Christ from this book. Last week, I decided to complete my own homework and prepare a sermon on Nehemiah that would highlight Christ. I feel very sorry for Nehemiah, whose life's work fell apart before his eyes. But hundreds of years later, a better Nehemiah came after him. A better Judge. A better King. A better Prophet. And a better Priest. And now his story will end well. He will see His work through to the end.
