Welcome to the second video in my series on crafting stunning earrings with stained glass! In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to make earrings using dichroic glass and lead-free solder. Follow along as I guide you through each step of the process, from cutting the glass to the final polish. All the materials I use are listed below for your convenience.
What You’ll Learn:
1. Cutting the Glass:
• I use a glass cutting machine to get precise cuts.
• Smooth the edges with an Inland grinder.
2. Preparing the Glass:
• Clean the glass with a glass cleaner to ensure the copper foil adheres properly.
• Wrap each piece with copper foil and burnish it using a burnishing tool.
3. Soldering:
• Solder the foil onto the glass.
• Attach the jump ring using a third hand, ensuring a secure hold by soldering both sides.
4. Finishing Touches:
• Polish the glass with a finishing compound for a professional look.
