How to Sample Colors From Images | Piktochart Tutorial

On some occasions, you want to create designs that match the colors of your images and vice versa. In this tutorial, we will teach you how to abstract colors from your images to create aesthetically pleasing visuals where everything matches up. Let’s start:
AUTOMATIC SELECTION
STEP 1: SELECT IMAGE FROM “BRAND ASSETS”
Head over to the account dropdown on the top right and click “Brand Assets”. Select an image you want using the drag and drop function. The colors are now automatically extracted from the chosen image.
STEP 2: ADJUST COLOURS
If you need to adjust the colors to finetune your palette, select the color you want to adjust. Once you get the one you’re happy with, click “Save Changes” and the color is automatically changed. You can now use that color scheme for all your visual projects in Piktochart.
MANUAL SELECTION
STEP 1: SELECT IMAGE
Go to the “Graphics” section on the top left, pop open photos, and search for the image you want to use.
STEP 2: CREATE FRAMES FOR YOUR COLOURS
Open “Shapes & Icons”, click the rectangle to add it to the canvas, and then scale it down a bit and create 4 copies of it. You can now use these squares to set up our color palette.
STEP 3: USE COLOR PICKER EXTENSION
Install a free browser extension, such as Colorzilla. Click “Pick color from page” and now the extension fetches the exact color of our mouse location. And once you find a color you like, simply click your mouse and the tool will automatically copy the HEX color code to our clipboard. Now select one of your squares and head up to the color tool above and simply hit Cmd or Ctrl+V on the keyboard to paste in the HEX code. And by following this same process, you can easily and quickly create your scheme based on the color profile of your image.
STEP 6: SAVE COLOR SCHEME
If you're a PRO user, all you need to do is head over to the left pane and click “Color Scheme”. From here, click “Create New Color Scheme”, give it a name, and hit OK. It's automatically fetched all the colors on the page. Finally, hit “Save and Apply”, and you can see that your color scheme has been added to the color tool in the toolbar above.
