Studying in Korea is not what you think.
I moved to Korea at 16 for high school, left during COVID, and then moved back at 20 for university. I’ve seen both the romantic fantasy phase and the actual everyday reality of being a student in Seoul.
In this video I’m talking honestly about what studying in Korea is REALLY like: the loneliness, the international student bubble, exam season stress, cafe culture vs real academic pressure, adapting to daily life, air pollution, budgeting, and how eventually even living abroad just becomes… life.
Korea can be an amazing place to study, grow, and experience independence, but it’s not the perfect K-drama university life people imagine online.
If you’re thinking of studying in Korea, or you’re already here, I hope this gives you a realistic perspective from someone who actually lived it!
Tell me in the comments:
👉 Are you planning to study in Korea?
👉 Or if you already did, what surprised you the most?
✨About me:
Hi, my name is Vikky. I show and talk about the good, the bad, and everything in between.
I’ve moved across countries, rebuilt my life more than once, and I’m currently navigating my 20s somewhere between ambition and confusion.
On this channel, I share the real side of living abroad, studying in Korea, figuring out identity, and trying to build a life that actually feels like the best version of mine.
If you’re also in your “what am I doing with my life but somehow still moving forward” era, you’re in the right place.
