Бу́лдури (латыш. Bulduri) — часть города Юрмала, расположенная в 20 км от Риги. Названо это место по фамилии владельца усадьбы Йоханна Булдринка (Булдеринга), получившего её во владение от магистра Ливонского ордена Вальтера фон Плеттенберга в 1516 году.
Это один из первых дачных районов Рижского взморья — его застройка началась в 40-х гг. XIX века. В 1875 году было построено уже около 400 дач. Вскоре появилось здание железнодорожной станции. Лютеранская церковь в Булдури выстроена в 1888—1889 годах архитектором Г. Гилбигом. В 1907 году открылось почтовое отделение, в 1908 начал работать рынок. Застройка вдоль моря началась на рубеже XIX и XX веков. Здесь жили зажиточные представители немецких кругов Риги, за что это место нередко называли «немецкой крепостью».
Bulduri (Latvian Bulduri) is a part of the city of Jurmala, located 20 km from Riga. This place is named after the surname of the owner of the estate, Johann Buldrink (Buldering), who received it into possession from the Master of the Livonian Order, Walter von Plettenberg, in 1516. This is one of the first dacha areas of the Riga seaside - its development began in the 40s. XIX century. In 1875, about 400 dachas were already built. Soon a railway station building appeared. The Lutheran Church in Bulduri was built in 1888-1889 by the architect G. Gilbig. A post office opened in 1907, and a market began operating in 1908. Construction along the sea began at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Prosperous representatives of the German circles of Riga lived here, for which this place was often called the “German fortress”.
