Now I have a new term for "Breaking the Pond."
Yesterday, a friend and I decided to spontaneously go fishing for predator fish, to use ultralight laces. Since carp season has already begun, there are definitely no trips to hunt predator fish. It was planned and we were thinking of going to Baraboy, but our choice fell on the Atlanta reservoir (Velikodolinskoye), I hadn’t been there since the competition in which I took 3rd place 2 years ago, but I remembered from memory that there were definitely laces there! We arrived at the pond in the morning and spent the first two hours without a single hit. After selecting the right weight and equipping ourselves with my favorite Keitech Easy Shiner, things finally started to move forward. First, we caught two carp, each weighing around 2 kg, and a couple of lines. Next came a pike-perch weighing 1.9 kg, and I thought at that moment it would be the big fish of the day, since that's a decent size for a pike-perch. But it wasn't to be. Then I caught 15 more pike-perch and beat my pike-perch trophy, landing a huge, pot-bellied female. It seemed like nothing could get any better, but it didn't end there. The next trophy was a catfish, which also decided to feast on the Easy Shiner. Landing this monster with a 3g ultralight line was simply incredible...
