How to auto-detect CAN messages
This video explains how to auto-detect CAN messages.
Step 1: Open ‘Channel List’.
Step 2: Open the detail setup of the desired CAN port.
Step 3: Klick on ‘Messages and Signals’ to open the CAN decoding configuration.
Step 4: Enable the ‘Auto-detect new messages’ switch and observe the incoming messages which are now auto-generated.
Step 5: Click on a message to view its details.
Step 6: Change the protocol if necessary.
Step 7: Add a signal to decode the data to one channel. Insert the decoding information and metadata such as name and unit and check the preview.
Step 8: Go back to the measurement screen and assign the new signal to the instruments.
