Overhauling the DT Swiss Nude 2 shock absorber damper. You can't do it without special tools.
In this video, our bike mechanic, Alexey, discusses the intricacies of rebuilding a DT Swiss Nude 2 shock absorber. This Swiss manufacturer is renowned for producing high-quality and expensive bicycle components, yet they make life difficult for uncertified shops when it comes to repairability of shock absorber systems. Using this shock absorber as an example, we demonstrate how to service it and what is required. In this case, we had to fabricate a special puller on a lathe, which allowed us to remove the damper and perform the service. We also had to use an oil bath during assembly to prevent air bubbles from entering the damper system.
