XDCR: Replicate in Hybrid Cloud Deployments with Ease and Control
Couchbase clusters can be hosted in a wide variety of environments – on-premises, on major cloud services (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud), via Kubernetes, and so on. Couchbase cross datacenter replication (XDCR) replicates data between clusters, providing high-performance data access for globally distributed, mission-critical applications. This session covers how we test XDCR at Couchbase across popular cluster deployment options, and what to consider before hosting or migrating Couchbase clusters in an XDCR topology. We’ll walk through creating remote cluster specifications and replications across clusters hosted on different platforms, including Couchbase’s DBaaS offering and Autonomous Operator. We will also go over some common challenges with configuring the topologies, and other noteworthy issues.
