Grandfather gave the most insane test of the UAZ "Bukhanka" before selling it.
I saw an ad for a UAZ Bukhanka. In the photos, the car looked quite respectable: a neat body, a decent appearance. I decided to go see it in person.
Once I got there, the picture was different: the front of the car was covered in rust, even holes in places. I approached the seller and said, "It looked better in the photos." He calmly asked, "What's wrong?" I pointed to the problem areas.
In response, he confidently replied, "This car will outlive you." He got behind the wheel and told me, "Step aside." I thought he was just showing how it drives. But things turned out differently.
He takes off abruptly, swerves the wheel, and literally a second later crashes into a tree. I'm shocked. He calmly gets out, looks at the car, and says, "This is what they used to make."
After this "durability test," he asks, "Want to take it?"
