🔹 Past Simple – Used for completed actions or states in the past.
✅ Example: "I saw someone famous yesterday!"
✅ Example: "He took the train to work every day."
🔹 Past Continuous – Used for actions in progress at a specific time in the past or to set the scene in a story.
✅ Example: "We were having breakfast at 8 o’clock."
✅ Example: "The sun was shining, and I was walking along the road when suddenly..."
