This is the resulting machine, which is most likely one of the most important machines that every garage mechanic should have.
As for the materials I used to build the grinder, here are some quick specifications:
50mm water pipe, 3mm wall thickness;
40x40mm profile pipe, 4mm wall thickness;
30x30mm profile pipe, 2mm wall thickness;
45mm angle;
70x70 angle, I don't remember the exact thickness, but it's at least 8mm;
20mm diameter stud;
20x47 Soviet-era bearing;
I rubberized the drive roller with the same sealant used for gluing car windshields;
As for cutting discs, buy at least 20 at a time so you don't have to rush to the store to buy them; they sell out too quickly. You need at least two sanding wheels and three flap discs.
I didn't mention that the base of the machine is two layers of 15mm plywood glued together and laminated on top.
