"Can This Be Home?"
“Can This Be Home” is one of the most emotional films i’ve ever made. This film digs deep into the emotional wellness brand Pursue Whole‘s messaging about the inner battle of living a facade that feels comfortable and accepted for fear of not being accepted verses listening to those vulnerable feelings we have inside that are begging to come out.
The word “Home” means something different to everyone. It doesn’t have to be a place. It can be a mindset.
In a world of showing perfect lives online and always trying to be the best and only showing successes, it can be exhausting and depressing trying to keep up. I’ll admit, there are pieces of me in this film that ring true. I don’t always feel people will accept me for me. In fact, I struggle deeply with it. I may not always put up a facade but I do tend to put up a guard for the constant fear of rejection. A feeling i’ve know all my life.
Filming this for the brand Pursue Whole really brought true joy to my heart. Knowing that this message can help others break the habit of putting on a face for acceptance and living a life that really is whole. A life that is balanced. I hope you watch this film with an open heart and reflect on some of the more vulnerable parts of yourself.
