J Scott Skinner Medley - April 2021
Two summers ago I took an amazing trip (hopefully the first of many!) to Scotland, where some of my ancestors emigrated from to the United States. During the pandemic, I've had the opportunity to study with Seán Heely, a U.S National Scottish Fiddle Champion. These are two tunes I really enjoy playing that I've learned from Seán recently, The Iron Man and The Hurricane. It's been especially fun learning to play the pipe ornaments, which you can hear in The Iron Man. These experiences have fed my addiction to Scottish fiddle tunes and helped focus my musical journey.
