I was watching a brilliant YouTuber called Tony Higgins. On his channel you will see him wild camping and hiking.In one of his recent videos he mentioned a comment he got from a viewer. Asking do you hike to wild camp or do you wild camp to hike?
It's a great question
if I have been asked that question 2 years ago go I'll would have said I wild camp to hike
but two years on the desire to wild camp and hike are now about the same

I think the reason that I hide is?
It's always a journey that has random ingredients
The weather
The wonderful sky's
the unique sunrise and sunsets
the ever-changing surroundings
the wildlife you might see
the people you might meet
Just having to get by with the little you can carry
I even enjoy the planning of the roots the reading of the maps ( yes I know I need to brush up on these skills haha)
There is something good about not having the home Comforts around you
It's good not to have people around you (I just don't like people haha)
Actually being alone away from people can help you socially believe it or not just the right amount of it I think can make you appreciate people.
I am beginning to realize that while out on the trail hiking wild camping I am in the moment nothing matters except what's going on now
I really feel like I'm slowing time down , slowing down the pace of life
And in a world that so expensive right now this is exercise for free it cost to nothing
