We truly weren't prepared for this... This day became further proof for us that real life is very different from what's shown in photos and ads. We continue to search for housing, visiting dozens of options, but with each passing day we become increasingly convinced that real estate prices are rising, and the quality of housing leaves much to be desired. This is our reality, the life of displaced people who have been left without a home and are forced to start over.

We drive around the Alexandria district, looking at houses, talking to locals, and increasingly we come across the fact that houses that recently cost pennies are now selling for several times the price. Photos look one way, but in reality, it's quite another. Dilapidated walls, no utilities, old buildings that require huge investments. But the price is the same as for a full-fledged home.
We're not complaining—we're showing the reality. We continue to search and don't give up, because we have someone to live for—our children. It's not just finding a roof over our heads that's important to us; it's choosing a place that will provide us with a future: school, kindergarten, development, and security.
Every day, we increasingly understand how difficult it is to find affordable housing. Displaced people are forced to make decisions quickly because prices are rising not only for houses, but also for food, fuel, and the overall cost of living.
We're sharing this with you for a reason. We know there are thousands of families like ours. And if our experience helps someone avoid making mistakes, then our work will have been worth it.
