Jyllands Posten by Henning Larsen Architects
Jyllands-Posten is moving to a new, dynamic HQ right by the waterfront in Aarhus, the second largest city in Denmark. The building is trapezoidal shaped and has a compact design that center towards the harbor. The building’s distinctive open façade presents Jyllands-Posten as a modern, active and energetic media company that produces news around the clock.
“The distance from one side of the center atrium the other is short, so it will be easy to get in contact across the atrium and floors. The building will be buzzing with activity.” The five floors of the building are connected by the atrium that also directs light into the building.
The site by the waterfront will make the publishing housing a visible and significant part of the development of the harbor area. The building is planned to be completed in 2019.
