Advanced comm. Lec 4: Diversity techniques
In this video, we discuss the concept of diversity as a powerful technique for combating deep fades in wireless channels. First, we introduce the diversity concept and illustrate several examples. Next, we focus on space diversity and the corresponding combining techniques. Finally, we derive expressions that describe the performance of the simplest combining technique, the selection combining method.
