The Calaveras Cultural Festival is one of the most deeply rooted traditions in Aguascalientes. This is celebrated during the Day of the Dead festivities, a time when celebrations and commemorations take place throughout the country.
This 2021 the 27th edition of this Festival will take place, which pays tribute in a special way to Mexican cinema, specifically that of the golden age. As is customary, it is also remembered José Guadalupe Posada, one of the most important artists from Aguascalientes in history, and his work, mainly his engraving "La Calavera Garbancera" better known as La Catrina.
