Ricoh's camera sales win streak continues
Another quarter of strong camera sales
The camera business performed well, resulting in increased revenue and profit, Ricoh said Tuesday in its financial report for the quarter ending June 30. The quarter ended just days after the announcement of the Pentax 17, their first new film camera in decades, so sales of that camera will largely fall into the next quarter. Sales for Ricoh’s Other division — Digital cameras, 360°cameras, environment, healthcare — were up 23.1 percent. Ricoh does not further break out the results, but did also say Cameras continued to perform solidly.
