We have two parts to configure.
1. In the first part we configure AzureAD for User Sync. Therefore we set up an application on Azure AD, which is nothing else than creating an API connection that we can connect to Azure AD and read user data. Then we configure our users and functionality in Jira. After that we verify the synchronization.
2. In the second part we actually configure the SAML side of our plugin to be able for these users to log in and be authenticated via #AzureAD. After we dit the first steps in Jira and our plugin we switch over to Azure AD and create an enterprise application in there that is used for the SAML authentication. At the end we go back to Jira and complete and verify the set up.
We also use our User Sync functionality to synchronize User from Azure AD into the Atlassian Application. This video can be also relevant for users who are trying to setup SAML Single Sign-On plugin for Confluence or Bitbucket as the setup processes are identical.
