A lot of artists and producers recording vocals on their own don't know where to start with vocal processing. Vocals are the most important element in most songs - so understanding how to get them sounding professional during the production process affects every other part of making the song.
This tutorial is a walkthrough of how to transform raw vocals to polished sounding, pro vocals using only free stock plugins. We'll work in Logic Pro X, but you can apply the same techniques with stock plugins in any DAW.
We'll go step-by-step through basic EQ, compression, and de-essing techniques that will help you sound like a pro no matter how experienced you are.
