"Cooking Turkish with pros and celebrities" in Cologne
To mark Turkish Cuisine Week, the Turkish Consulate General in Cologne invited prominent guests to the event "Turkish Cooking with Professionals and Celebrities." Among those present on Friday were the guest of honor from North Rhine-Westphalia, Minister-President Hendrik Wüst, and rapper Eko Fresh.
Three teams were formed to prepare Turkish dishes such as Hünkâr Beğendi and Baklava. These were then judged by a jury. While there was no winner, everyone enjoyed themselves and had a great time. TRT Deutsch was there and spoke with the guests about their favorite dishes and impressions.
Turkish Cuisine Week has been held annually since 2022 under the patronage of the Turkish First Lady, Emine Erdoğan. The week of events takes place from May 21 to 27 in Turkey and at more than 260 Turkish diplomatic missions abroad.
The goal is to showcase the diversity, historical depth, and modern interpretations of Turkish cuisine internationally. At the same time, the event aims to foster intercultural dialogue through culinary experiences.
