I am not very proficient with a straight razor. I normal enjoy a weekend shave with it as I like to take my time and go slow. There is no guard between the blade and your skin. Every razor has a learning curve for which you grow more comfortable and proficient as you use it.
Today I jumped back to my @NakedArmor Shavette with replacement blades. This is a great straight razor to learn on.
Having a great shave kit is also key to help get a close smooth shave. I used my @DeathGripWax shave oil to pretreat, the shave brush and lather bowl and my african tea tree oil shave soap. #deathgripwax #deathgripbrotherhood
