YI DOME GUARD CAMERA UNBOXING & SETUP
I just got this new YI DOME GUARD camera. I got it to spy on my kids when they sneak around in the kitchen.
The box includes; a bunch of papers, the camera itself, ceiling-mount, long microUSB cable, 2 screws…
I like this nice little ceiling-mount!
Here’s a Standard 1 ampere power adapter.
User manual in understandable English printed on a decent quality paper.
Ethernet port is a pleasant surprise. Too bad it does not support POE.
Alright, lets push-in a memory card and connect this camera!
Download YI Home app on your phone, install it and login to your account.
Press the plus button in the top corner, then choose your camera model and just follow the instructions until its connected. Keep in mind, this camera does not work with 5GigaHertz Wifi.
The video quality is pretty good. You can choose regular or high definition stream.
The camera also records sound and you can use it like an intercom.
Out of my 4 Yi cameras, only this one was recognized by google home.
The YI Dome Guard can automatically track your movement, but it makes some noise which can draw unwanted attention at the camera.
Ease-of-use, reliability and cheap price, this is why I love these Yi cams.
