Day 2 & 3 weren't nearly as productive as I'd planned. The back of the tank has been painted & I have the majority of the plumbing planned out. But the glass front & sides are a blocker from moving forward with stripping & sealing.
The glass is clean, but the residue from using silicon to glue the custom 3D background isn't coming off after trying razor blades, acetone, Goof Off, mineral spirits, alcohol (isopropyl & denatured), white vinegar, lots of elbow grease etc..
Next up will be sanding & polishing glass... this should work and also work for the scratches, but it is more labor-intensive.
What's left (after the glass is fully cleaned)? Strip & reseal the tank, external plumbing, remove & clean the frame.
