1. Threads is a brand-new app created by Meta. It is primarily designed for sharing text updates and joining public conversations (like Twitter).
2. You log in using your Instagram account and posts can be up to 500 characters long and include links, photos, GIFs (I share a quick how-to here) and videos up to 5 minutes in length.
3. You can comment, share and re-post other people's Threads.
