HOW TO CREATE A RECTANGLE WITH ILLUSTRATOR - RECTANGLE TOOL
To create a rectangle by entering the measurement, select the rectangle tool (M) and click in the middle of the screen. A small window will appear so you can enter the measurements.
To create a freeform shape, click, hold, and drag in the preferred direction. Press SHIFT to make the shape symmetrical.
