Ableton Live 9 Tutorial - Slice to new midi track trick
1. Make an audio track
2. Place your audio clip (drag & drop) on the audio track
3. Double-Click the audio clip on the colored top part
4. Insert Warp Markers by double-clicking or CMD+i in bottom edit window... OR DONT ;)
5. Right-click on the audio WITHIN the bottom edit window (not top) and select "Slice to new midi track"
6. EZ - "Create One Slice Per:" set this to """ Warp Markers """
"Slicing Preset:" set this to """Built-In"""
Advanced - u do u fam
7. go back to main timeline/edit window and delete the midi clip and audio clip. do NOT delete the tracks just the clips.
8. Voilá!!! Now you have a drum machine with your samples on a midi rack
