Controlling a robot arm via Onshape's API - watch it try and grab my coffee!
I've added a picture-in-picture today so you can see the physical/digital interaction between Onshape and my SO-100 Robot arm. This was made in a single, unscripted take and was a lot of fun to put together.
The Onshape App I made was in the form of a Python Flask app, and ran as a right panel "App extension". It interfaced with my SO-100 (open source, designed by Hugging Face) robot arm, which I printed here at home on a Prusa Mini+... The controller software for the robot arm is by Phospho - check them out here https://phospho-ai.notion.site/About-.... Their phosphobot server is running as a webapp too, and has a REST-API which makes it simple for integrating to my Onshape app.
