laura greco - fotografie/photography { 2017 - 2022 }
"fotografie" (photography) is a project that includes poetry, music, and visuals all in one to tell the beauty of durable images. videos have frame rates that contain a certain amount of photos per second, so watching a video means watching hundreds of photos in a short amount of time.
this artwork is a humble hommage to time, passion, and transcience that exists and shows itself when you try to tell a story of several years, memories and moments. the video material that you see is a collection of special times during 2017-2022, a time in which I just started to find my passion for visual arts and the camera but also the time I improved more and more.
people, places, architecture, and infrastructure are all equally fascinating to me, and finding the beauty in the good and bad is one of the things that I am most passionate about when it comes to video art.
many small details in photography create momentum, but it often remains just a fading representation of what we truly experienced live with smell, color, sound, and vision.
keeping this in consideration, this artwork is dedicated to my time as an art student who grew, fell, and stood up again – despite everything.
traveling through europe and experiencing new things was one of the most precious things I could collect in life. I hope you find beauty in this too.
