Latin for Beginners Lesson 13: Marking Possession in Latin
This lesson is about marking possession in the Latin language. This can be achieved by use of the following methods: by using the verbs habeo and teneo - two second conjugation verbs we have explored in previous lessons; using the possessive adjectives meus, tuus, noster and vester; and also using two of the Latin noun cases.
This lesson looks at the two cases which can be used to mark possession in Latin. We will look at how to create these two grammatical constructions and also some translation exercises.
