Quadrilateral node and Star nodes are the last nodes in the curve primitive nodes section. Both are special nodes in my opinion. Because, these nodes are giving geometries that looks like meshes but they are actually curves.
Combining mesh like geometries with curve nature is very powerful. You get rectangle in curve mode, and if you further subdivide and add more points you can create interesting shapes. But that is for a bit advanced video. In this video i covered by just using these two nodes what geometries can be created.
I have covered the theory part of both nodes, simple to epxlain, straightforward parameters to control the shapes. Quadrilateral node gives four point closed geometries. A few preset geometries and finally a 4 point node for you to create a four point geometry in any axis you want.
Star node is something created by connecting the alternate points of the two circles. It has the radius data of both circles, number of edges for the star and finally the twist angle. By simply tweaking these data you get very interesting shapes.
I have covered two simple examples for you. By connecting both nodes to the Curve to mesh node, mainly the star node as profile curve we could get some new shapes with star edges as output. Espcially for the kite geometry, this gave a very good logo creation type effect.
Second example is the most inriguing one. By connecting both inputs of Curve to mesh node as Star node, we got a flower and donut! Donuts are everywhere i guess 😄. By playing with twist angle you get entireky different geometry.
I would recomment you to try different options and create interesting geometries.
