Ralph, South Dakota Tornado - June 21st 2015.
This video contains over 4 minutes of HD timelapse footage of a beautiful tornado in South Dakota. We witnessed this storm produce a tornado from a distance as we approached and then arrived in great position just in time to see this tornado form. We watched it spin for over ten minutes in perfect light with large hail falling around us and a bunch of cows moving backwards and forwards. The condensation funnel lifted several times only to re-intensify and plant down again as this tornado refused to rope out. Eventually, the tornado gave up and lifted but only after the parent mesocyclone had fallen apart, leaving patches of blue sky above and a new tornadic meso to the east!
