Forming Pin Tucks
Forming Pin Tucks. Try to be accurate when forming the pin tucks so that you get a perfect, and symmetrical vertical or horizontal fold. In doing so, your stitches will also be of perfect form – if all goes to plan!
The general rule –
For the smallest pin tucks, look to have a width of around 3 mm’s,
The largest, around 1 cm – 3/8inch.
Tip – If you’re going to use this method, it is advisable to pin tuck the length of your fashion fabric BEFORE you lay plan your sewing pattern pieces.
