Probability
The likelihood of the occurrence of an event is termed as probability. The probability of an event E is written as P(E).
Example 1 : Find the probability of getting an odd number on throwing a dice.
Example 2 : A bag contains 8 red balls and 4 green balls. One ball is drawn at random.
a) What is the probability it is red?
b) What is the probability it is green?
Example 3 : A glass jar contains 6 red, 5 green, 8 blue and 3 yellow marbles. If a single choosen at random from a jar, find the probability of choosing:
a) a red marble
b) a green marble
c) a blue marble
d) a yellow marble
