Understanding the Aloof Horse Personality with Yvonne Barteau and HWH Rescue Horse "Hoomy"
Today Yvonne Barteau and Matt, HWH Groundwork Trainer observe Hoomy's aloof horse personality tendencies and how they revert back to dismissing or ignoring people if not handled and interacted with regularly.
Hoomy was abandoned at the HWH rescue some time ago. She is in her late teens and we are considering her for our "Seniors with Seniors" Program.
This program will be for folks 55 and older who want to spend time with horses grooming brushing, bathing, and hand walking. This is not a riding program. It will be an educational and exercise program that we hope will bring some extra attention to our older horses here.
