It would seem that what difficulties could a Doctor of Philosophy, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Deputy Director of the Institute of Philosophy, and winner of the Russian Academy of Sciences Gold Medal, face if she decided to move to France?! Moreover, Yulia Sineokaia, the woman in question, is also a French citizen. But things are much more complicated. Her French passport prevented her from receiving the grants offered to other Russian émigrés. And her Russian diplomas and regalia didn't help her compete for jobs with local scientists.
