This is the story of Russian mountaineer Nikolay Pushkarev. In early May 2014, he went on a solo climbing expedition to the North Chuya Range in Altai Republic. On May 8, he was expected to return home, but gone missing on the Aktru glacier.
He most probably fell into a crevasse and succumbed to his death. Later, a thorough search with dogs failed to locate him and he was presumably declared dead.
Four years later in 2018, a group of mountaineers who were climbing the Aktru, one of the highest peaks in the area, found his mummified body in the ice.
